Peer Review

You will be asked to periodically review the work of your fellow classmates according to one of 10 core values upon which this class is based.  Here's the process:

You will be asked to review the blog syntheses of 2 classmates approximately 6 times throughout the term.  This is not a graded activity; rather, the activity is designed to encourage reflection, participation and a little friendly competition.  Participating in this class activity will let you earn Superhero-themed badges.  These badges have been professionally designed with characters that exemplify three attributes (superpowers in this context) of any given character trait.  There are three levels of Superhero badges that you can "recruit" depending on the number of points that you accumulate over the course of the term.  There are three "power levels" for each character. 

For instance, for the value of "Credibility", the three Superheroes that you can recruit are:

Point Assignment

You will be asked to complete a peer review rating form to assign XP (experience points) that you think best exemplifies the characteristics that the blog posting demonstrates.  You will have 25 points to spend, and you can assign from zero up to five points in any of the 10 traits.   The form will require that you post a justification for your ratings.

After you post your rating, your scores will be tallied and a running total will be posted to your profile in the box titled "Character Traits"

When your score crosses a minimum threshold to earn one or more Superhero Badges, that badge will also be posted to your profile!
